[edit] Tips

  • The Overworld is connected by a series of tunnels. The majority of this area will be traversed underground as you head back above ground for treasure and mission objectives. The underground map grid corresponds to the same grid on the surface, so for an example Grid: (G-2) will connect to Grid: (G-2) on the surface.
  • In Story Mode, your party does not like jumping off of cliffs as much as you may think they would. This often can leave them trailing behind in a battle or stuck on a ledge. If they are stuck you can choose the Switch Character option and guide them to where they are supposed to be.
  • The central hub of the underground tunnels appears to only be accessible through the doorway near the save point at (E-4). All the other doors appear to be locked from the inside. Once you enter the central hub you can unlock the other pathways.
  • Payback time! There are several doors underground that normally lead to a giant sized monster, such as at Underground Grid (E-5). If you initiate the fight and then get behind the closed door you can continue to attack the monster, but it will not be able to hit you with it's normal attacks. This is a time to get some cheap payback for enemies being able to attack you when you are typically out of range.
