Binding is an integral part of the game. To get new and better weapons, armours and items, more often than not, you will be relying on Binding. There are two main aspects to binding that you need to know; Bind Ranks, and Ingredients. Whilst the latter is somewhat self explanatory, the former, not so much. This page will detail what you need to know about both, and at the end you can find a list of the pages which contain the full Binding List. You should use this to see what items, weapons and shields will be coming your way as you increase your ranks.
To get access to Binding, you must have brought Verruca's Letter back to Phibianacci in Albana. After that, you will be given access to the Binding Posts.

[edit] Binding Rank
Unlike other games where you can get newer recipes by either finding the recipes around the world, or simply by binding more and more, this game introduces the concept of Bind Ranks. Each item that can be bound has an associated bind rank. What this means is that you will need to achieve that particular bind rank, before you can make that item.
As to how you raise your bind rank.. this is done by donating items to Binding Post. Donating is different to selling, as the word suggests by donating you wont be getting any money in return. However, fear not, since each item you donate will help increase your bind rank. Below is a list of the most common ways of getting items to 'donate' and how much you'd need to donate to get to the next bind rank.
- Donate items that you acquire whilst increasing your Guild Rank.

Ingredient gathering can take some time, especially if you don't know where to get the item from. To make things easier, if you go into the binding lists below, you'll see that all the ingredients are links. Clicking on these will take you to a page dedicated to that particular item, telling you how to obtain it, and if it has any other use, what the use is.
